Karlee D. BallerinaKarlee started dancing at three and decided to focus on ballet when she was 14. While attending a Summer Intensive program in NY, she went through 12 pairs of ballet pointe shoes! She was discovered by the Charlotte Ballet and they invited her to be part of their pre-professional dance company. She trains daily and has 6 performances per year, plus 23 performances of the Nutcracker – her favorite. Take a look at her typical day.

Typical Day for a Ballerina

7:20 am – Hit the snooze button

7:30 am – Hit the snooze button

7:40 am – Drag myself out of bed and make my daily smoothy

8:00 am – Leave for Charlotte Ballet

8:15 am to 9:00 am – Warm-Ups

9:30 am – Techniques classes

12:00 pm – Lunch!

1:00 pm to 6:45 pm Dance rehearsals for upcoming performances

7:00 pm – Family dinner with host family, ice my feet!

9:00 pm to 12:00 am – School work, keep icing my feet!

12:00 am – SLEEP and get ready to repeat
