Virtual schools are taking on several new formats as a result of school closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Micro-Schools are brick and mortar learning centers where small groups of students can “go to school” in a safe learning environment with adult supervision. Membership fees start at $250 month and tutoring fees start at $80 hour. Homeschool Pods are forming in neighborhoods all over the country. Organized and facilitated by parents, this option allows parents to take turns as the school facilitator. In this neighborhood option, there are usually no fees. Just neighbors being neighborly.
