Stan has an M.A. in Special Education from West Virginia University. Besides a love for technology, Stan enjoys bicycling, contra dancing, and almost any outdoor activity. Stan is the founder of CompuHigh.
Ellen graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. degree in Biology. She has been a biology teacher, Director of Admissions, business owner, Founder and Principal of South Carolina Whitmore School. She is passionate about helping students achieve academic success. Ellen and Steve have two children and one grandson. Ellen loves to garden and have fun on the lake.
Steve, Business Manager
Steve has a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Utah. He has been a commercial banker and successful retail business owner for eighteen years. He and Ellen have a son and a daughter (graduate of Compuhigh / Whitmore School) and one grandson. Steve lives in South Carolina and enjoys lake life with his wife and dog Daisy.
Jeannette, Educational Director and Teacher
Jeannette holds an M.A. in Literary and Cultural Studies from Carnegie Mellon University and is halfway through an M.S. program in Counseling Psychology. Jeannette lives in West Virginia and loves to explore the wild forests and streams of the state with her husband and children.
Jeannette is the Educational Director and teaches Psychology and English 12.
Cindy, Counselor and Teacher
Cindy has a M.A. degree in Social Work from West Virginia University. She has retired from working as a counselor and spends her free time tending the gardens and poultry on the small farm she shares with husband David. She also enjoys playing music with friends and is learning to weave.
Cindy is a Counselor for our Whitmore School Plus program and teaches Environmental Science.
Kathleen, Counselor and Teacher
Kathleen is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan with a B.A. in Elementary Education and is continuing her education towards a masters in counseling. She is a counselor for our student athletes pursuing NCAA eligibility status for college. Kathleen also teaches Test Prep and Cyber 101. Kathleen enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing tennis, skiing, and hanging out with her dogs.

Melissa, Admissions Counselor
Melissa works in the CompuHigh / Whitmore School Office as the Admissions Counselor. She speaks with students, parents, guidance counselors, and Athletic Directors to provide information about our diploma programs or individual courses. She is happy to answer all of your questions.
Alina, Admissions Assistant
Alina is a graduate of CompuHigh / Whitmore School! After graduating, Alina studied Criminal Justice at American Public University. Alina is an Admissions Assistant focusing on providing information about our school to guidance counselors and principals throughout the states. Alina is married and has one son.
Amanda has a B.A. in Spanish, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. We call her Doctor Amanda! When Amanda is not on the other end of the computer working with students, she is reading, running or doing something with her family. She is married and has two lovely daughters. Both are ice skaters, so she stays cold year round.
Amanda teaches Spanish 1 and 2.
Cathy, Mathematics Department Chair
Cathy graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Secondary Education with specializations in math and physics, and continues to work toward a Master’s in Educational Psychology. When Cathy isn’t teaching, she enjoys time with her three children and two grandchildren. Her hobbies include singing, reading, and doing puzzles.
Cathy teaches Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Probability and Statistics.
Clint, Social Studies Department Chair
Raised in Northern Virginia and Central West Virginia, Clint Lemasters currently resides in Elkins, West Virginia with his wife Kim and daughter Mollie. Clint teaches secondary English and runs a horseshoeing (farrier) business. His hobbies include fly fishing, horseback riding, bow hunting, and trying (and sometimes succeeding!) to stay in shape.
Clint teaches World Geography and World History.
Claudia has a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Masters in Multi-Categorical Learning Disabilities. She lives in Fairmont, WV. Claudia teaches English and Social Studies.
David has a Bachelors in Industrial Arts (Technology Education) from Fairmont State and a Masters in Administration from WVU. David has a small pick your own blueberry farm in West Virginia and play old time music on the fiddle and bass with a couple of bands. David teaches Web Design and Computer Applications.
Derwin, English Department Chair
Derwin holds a B.A. in English from Fairmont State University and began work on his Master’s in the fall of 2006 at WVU. His hobbies include reading Anglo-Saxon and Old English literature, strolling through art museums, and vegetable gardening with his wife. He also loves jazz and blues, and makes an incredible pot of gumbo.
Derwin teaches Freshman and Sophomore levels of English, Honors English 11, Creative Writing, and Career Planning.
Jackie graduated from Fairmont State University with a B.A. in Theatre and Secondary Education with specializations in English and Oral Communications. She is also employed with FirstEnergy. Jackie has a passion for dance and has worked with local dance studios, dance teams and has choreographed for local theatre productions, as well. Jackie lives in Fairmont, WV with her husband and two children.
Jackie teaches English 3, Business English, Speech and Keyboarding.
Joe has an M.A.T. (Master of Arts in Teaching) in Secondary Science Education from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC and a B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Physics from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. Joe lives in Myrtle Beach, SC with his two children, and also teaches Science at SC Whitmore School. Joe enjoys reading and spending time with his children.
Joe teaches Physical Science, Physics and Biology.
Mark has a Master’s of Analytical Chemistry from WVU. He is a senior lecturer of Chemistry at WVU, and has reviewed and edited text books used at the college level. He resides in Morgantown with his wife and two children.
Mark teaches Chemistry.
Pamela graduated with a B.S. degree in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from West Virginia University. She currently teaches perinatal education classes to the community through West Virginia University Hospitals. She has home schooled her two children for almost 13 years. Pamela enjoys spending time with her children, dinners with her five sisters, and hiking with her Australian cattle dog.
Pam teaches Anatomy and Practical Math.
Rachel has a Master of Divinity degree from Emory University, and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Berea, KY and is an ordained pastor. She loves working with students who are having difficulty in lessons. She can occasionally be found taking trapeze lessons or competing in triathlons. She also loves the theater, comedy, gardening and hanging out with friends.
Rachel teaches Principles and Am Literature.
Stan F. received his B.A. from Duke University and a M.A. from Union Theological Seminary in NYC. An avid musician who composes and performs, Stan enjoys friends, family and fun in his hometown of Morgantown, WV.

Daisy is a 9 lb Maltipoo and is our school mascot. She attends meetings and graduations. She loves Melissa because she always has a drawer full of treats.
